LOCAL AREA
One of London’s greenest boroughs, Ealing’s natural beauty rivals the best set design and CGI’s in the industry. The studio overlooks Walpole Park, 28 acres of tree-lined walkways, ponds and playgrounds. Home to Grade I listed Pitzhanger Manor and summer festivals of blues, jazz, comedy and cuisine, these 19th century private gardens now lie at the heart of Ealing’s vibrant multicultural community. Five minutes away on Ealing Green, independent shops, bars and restaurants rub shoulders with period architecture and listed landmarks.
This seamless blend of old and new is evident throughout the area. The University of West London’s £50 million campus stands on the site of Ealing’s legendary Art College, while its abandoned art deco cinema will soon rise again as a state-of-the-art landmark befitting the home of British film.
Ealing’s rich cultural heritage, wide leafy streets and eclectic international cuisine have always rivalled any location in the city. With the imminent arrival of Crossrail, delivering Central London and Heathrow to its door, this Greater London Borough is about to become a true great contender.
A cosmopolitan melting pot of world-class culture, education and architecture; Ealing is a 21st century destination bursting with historical presence and cutting-edge promise.
